The Nissan Skyline Challenge
A cherished Nissan Skyline R34, freshly resprayed as part of the owner’s dream build, arrived at our studio for paint perfection and protection. However, the respray left dust particles trapped in the clear coat, affecting the finish.
Additionally, with no pre-cut PPF templates available for this model, the project required a fully bespoke, hand-cut PPF installation to ensure seamless protection.
What We Found
During our initial inspection, we identified:
- Dust particles in the clear coat, diminishing the paint clarity
- Uneven surface finish, requiring correction before applying PPF
- No pre-existing PPF patterns, meaning every panel had to be custom-fitted
Rather than applying protection over imperfections, we ensured the paintwork was flawless before proceeding.
Our Solution
To deliver the best possible results, we took a meticulous approach:
✔ Flatted and polished the entire vehicle to remove dust particles and enhance clarity
✔ Custom-designed and hand-cut PPF, ensuring an exact fit for every panel
✔ Applied high-quality self-healing PPF, protecting the new paint from stone chips and road debris
✔ Finished with a professional ceramic coating, sealing in the deep gloss and providing long-term hydrophobic protection.
